Nine Days Safari
Day 1 – Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport/ Transfer to Arusha
Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to your hotel/ lodge in Arusha.
Day 2 – Arusha NP
In the morning after breakfast, we will drive to Arusha National Park for a full day game drive and some hiking activities in the park. In the evening we will drive back to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay at a lodge/campsite.
Day 3 – Lake Manyara
After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive and have a picnic lunch en route. The park is famous for its tree climbing lions, elephants, flamingoes and giraffes. There is also an option to have a cycling tour around the park. In the evening, we will travel to back to the lodge/campsite for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 – Serengeti
In the morning, we will make our way to the famous Serengeti National Park, game viewing en route. This is possibly the world’s most famous National Park, (a biosphere reserve and a world heritage site), with an abundance of wildlife including lions, hyenas, topi, impala, gazelles wildebeest, zebras, cheaters, leopards and much more. Serengeti is unique for its annual wildebeest migration which is not found anywhere else on earth. We will have a picnic lunch en route and travel to our tented lodge or campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5 – Serengeti
Today we will have a full day game drive at Serengeti. Depending upon the time of the year, visitors can get a clear view of the wildebeest migration and long queues of beasts and predators on the plains.
Day 6 – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, we will take a picnic lunch and start our game drive towards Ngorongoro. En route we will visit Maasai bomas (villages) and experience the unique Maasai life in their unspoiled traditions and customs. We will arrive at our lodge or campsite in Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7 – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, with a packed lunch, we will descend into the crater for game viewing. Ngorongoro crater is a world heritage site and famous for its black rhinos, lions, hyenas, buffalos, cheetah, etc. early evening drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8 – Empakai Crater/ Tarangire
In the morning, we will drive through the Maasai land to Empakai Crater for a half day hiking trip. We will have a Maasai guide on hand to guide us through the crater while we enjoy watching the Lesser Flamingoes. We will have a picnic lunch here and hike out of the crater, board the car and drive to Tarangire National park for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9 – Tarangire / Arusha
Today we will enjoy a full day game drive at Tarangire. The park is famous for its big herd of elephants and the biggest of all trees namely baobabs, and tree climbing pythons. In the late afternoon after lunch, we will drive back to Arusha and spend the night at the lodge ready for the next day departure or next part of the journey.
